Day 1: Arrive Melbourne
Melbourne is a cosmopolitan city of tree-lined boulevards, glorious parks, elegant Victorian buildings set amongst modern architecture, clanging trams and swanky boutiques. The Yarra River remains integral to the city and its banks boast excellent shopping and entertainment venues. The city offers thousands of restaurants, cafes, bistros and bars - you will find plenty of open-air tables from which to sup coffee or wine and watch the world go by. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your chosen hotel.

Day 2: Melbourne
Explore the charms of Melbourne on board a Grayline morning tour. Highlights include the Italian Quarter, the Shrine of Remembrance, the Botanic Gardens, Fitzroy Gardens,
Captain Cook’s Cottage and spectacular city views from Westgate Bridge. Departs 8.45am, returns 12 noon.

Day 3: Philip Island Penguin Parade
Every evening at dusk the Little Penguins come in from the sea at Philip Island Nature Park to make their way to their burrows at Summerland Beach. Witness the natural phenomenon of the Penguin Parade plus see Penguin Rookeries and look for Koalas in their natural habitat. Other wildlife to look out for includes Kangaroos (with the opportunity to feed) and resident wombat family. Return to Melbourne at approximately 11pm.

Day 4: Depart Melbourne
At leisure today before making your onward connection. Time to spare? We suggest you explore the world class wineries or travel one of the world’s most famous routes, the Great Ocean Road. See page 72 or ask for details.
