Dive up to four easterly Outer Great Barrier Reef locations, taking in sites selected for their extravagance of marine life, and excellent visibility. These sites are rarely visited by other vessels. Divers get the opportunity to view magnificent hard and soft corals, giant clams, turtles, stingrays and the largest variety of tropical fish. The schedule allows for a total of 11 dives including 2 night dives (conditions permitting), and unlimited snorkelling. Cabins on board are either twin or multi share with no difference in the cost. All major international scuba accreditations are accepted and snorkellers are most welcome. Includes: Accommodation transfers from city and Northern Beaches, ‘Reef Teach’ Marine Biology presentation night before departure, 11 dives (weather permitting), comprehensive dive insurance, 2 nights on-board vessel accommodation. All meals whilst on board, bed linen, all dive equipment, personal underwater dive computer, prescription masks if needed, long leg wetsuit, torch batteries and cyalume sticks for night diving, full snorkelling equipment, wetsuit and guided snorkelling tours. The Ribbon Reefs extend southwards from Lizard Island and include the famous ‘Cod Hole’, where divers can feed the Giant Potato Cod and view a huge variety of Marine Species.
Day 1 - Depart Cairns accommodation at 5.00pm aboard TAKA II cruising over calm waters up to the Cod Hole.
Day 2 - Arrive Cod Hole approx 9.00am. Two dives at Cod Hole (second dive being Cod Feed). This is one of the world’s premier diving experiences. We do another dive south of this area at Pixie Pinnacle, then
a night dive at Challenger Bay.
Day 3 - Clam Gardens and Temple of Doom are two favourite dive sites today. You will see giant clams up to 2metres across, huge coral gardens, and an abundance of marine life. Do three day dives, plus a night dive on this day.
Day 4 - Two final dives on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef as we are nearing the end of our trip. These dives feature unique coral formations and fish life. TAKA II then cruises through the reefs heading back into Cairns at approximately 3.30pm. Includes: All linen, 2 towels, transfers to Cairns accommodation, tanks, weights, all meals from dinner on the day of departure to lunch on the last day. Beer, wine & soft drinks available at the bar.

Pro Dive is recognised worldwide as a leader in all aspects of Scuba Diving Education. Begin with 2 Days of pool and classroom training followed by a 3 day/2 night Live-aboard cruise to the Outer Great Barrier Reef.
During the first two days your instructor takes you through the academics of scuba diving and then into the pool where you put the basics into practice. Day 3, 4, and 5 are spent on board a Pro Dive vessel out on the Great Barrier Reef where you complete your 4 training/qualifying dives which completes your PADI Open Water Certification. After this you are able to go on and enjoy 5 more dives as a recreational diver, one of which is a night dive guided by your instructor. These dives on the Great Barrier Reef will be truly spectacular and memorable and the highlight of your course. On your return to Cairns, passengers and crew get together in a local restaurant to celebrate the conclusion of your Barrier Reef experience.
